I have the impression this mastahpiss is also referring to some real life dude who did some really awful stuff at some point.

...could you please provide me with some context? I genuinely don't really know what all this is about.

Edit: Uh... wow. I had no idea this rabbit hole was this deep.

Well... all I can say now is that, I hope you and your pals stay safe from any more of these messes. You guys are still teens as of now, you still shouldn't have to be dealing with any a this shit. Hopefully no followers of either that Daniel dude or that Seb guy come around to bully ya either.

This game was still funny as hecc, I hope you guys also keep on making the games you want to do!

Edit 2 - Electric Boogaloo: Yeah, oshiri420, I guess he did. Now me and other players don't have to go for the 500 Secret Documents hidden in the game that explain all of it!

PaRappa64 responds:

It's a very long history mocking a game I could never complete and a guy that actively wants to continue despite everyone wanting to move on tell him to not to, nobody was interested in this game being finished and released.

It all started in 2018, I was 11 or 12 when I thought of making a game featuring characters made by and my friends, it was called "PaRappa64's Bizarre Adventure". Protagonist was my sona Jonathan (originally named after my username here at the same time), he would gone into a RPG Maker adventure with friends, Sasara, (oshiri420's former Heat Rotom sona) and Nico (yet another sona of my real life friend). I made some builds around 2018-2019, each time I would kinda just forget about it since I didn't publicly announce the project, it was a good way to learn on how to use the RPG Maker engine (VX). It was never truly canceled, just faded away and move on.

Then in 2020, my ex-friend which I'm not going to name (I just prefer to him as Daniel), Recently canceled his own game after much stress and believe it would not turn out well. I worked on it, I was just the texturing and I think I gave some writing feedback. It had actually very similar concept as my old P64BA game, so I decided to tell him about it and gave me the idea to continue, thus it was first publicly announced in May 2020. This time we would get rid of Nico in favor of more, far more than a 4 member party. Jonathan and Sasara returned but we also got Allox (Daniel's version of Fofa, obscure Kirby character from the anime), Pot Man (A character I created for my friend Scou1yy, based on common pfp choice of a guy with a pot on his head), Hatty (A character by NEXUS meant to represent object shows, probably is now under a different username cuz that's the only one I can remember of his many usernames) and Lilith (Former sona of my girlfriend Kabi-Chu before we were dating). It was going just great, Daniel gave me a lot of concepts based on stuff like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, and he was the general writer. Around this it was just 2 people, he would do the writing while I did everything else, the creators were still credited but didn't a whole lot for the game.

On October 2020 I decided to cut Daniel off because of me and Sora (oshiri420, it would prefer to them as Sora from now on) couldn't handle his weird fetish, which was diapers. He also tended to have mental breakdowns as he had a pretty bad reputation, especially on a Kirby server and the general fandom of Five Nights at Treasure Island. We were so disgusted by his actions we wanted to mock him. Around this the cast would replaced, due to having too many members we got rid of Pot Man, Hatty and Lilith, we were still friends but It was too much so we went for the classic 4 party members. Allox was replaced by Imasu Kazuo (Luigikaboy7's Mortal Kombat character) and Razzie-Chu (We don't talk about her, it's for the best.)

Me and Sora decided to forgive Daniel in December 2020, as he was helped by his friends and seem he changed. All stuff relating to the Daniel mocking plot was scrapped and went back to the drawing board. However, Daniel had a bigger vision from the start. He wanted to do prequels and sequels of it, turning it into a series, with it's own complex lore and everything. He made a concept for a prequel, since would've taken place 10 years before the first JA, with entirely new characters made for the series instead of borrowed ones from our friends. Another cast was made, Allox came back to replace Imasu ironically enough, and Raz was replaced by Tasha (Who was a Mii sona of a long time friend, no specific username this time because she has so many and can't remember one really). Since Daniel was stuck writing for the prequel the game that was actually meant to be released never made any progress besides some vague elements to start with. Daniel was ditched again from being my friend, again, this time we got tired again of his bullshit and brought back his old attitude. April 2021, In our private server we had a guy named "BickerySebastian", which already had experience relating to RPG Maker, he offered to join in and from that point he made a lot stuff for it. We had our team members but Seb made almost everything, and we didn't even ask for most of the stuff he did. He looked like he could actually finish it, he was a actual hope for the game and finally finish JA for once. Imasu replaces Allox again, as well as Kabi (Kabi-Chu's current sona) came in, It was honestly the perfect cast so far.

But... There was a catch. As JA2 tells how is he, he had a weird and creepy sense of humor that we started to hate. He also did a lot of decisions that in my eyes were bad. He drew a series of images of cropped Jonathan and Kabi sex. I don't think there's no need to tell that almost everyone in the main cast is a minor and their creators. Imasu was 19 but his created is a minor so. He also shipped Imasu and Sasara (A 19 year old as I mentioned, and a 15 year old) referencing how he and her now ex-girlfriend voiced Imasu and Sasara respectively. And overall the game started to be NSFW. Now his excuse was it all a joke, but we eventually started to dislike how he wanted to handle JA. He was finally kicked off the team and the game was finally canceled. However, Seb wanted to continue it. After a while we got Daniel again, and JoeyTheMarillFan who programed the game before gave the idea to make a new version of the JA, named Jonathan's Adventue! Ultimate, at first I did not want to make it but after a while we started working on it. JoeyTheMarillFan would made the majority of the content, I directed it, and Daniel came back as a writer. We would soon find out that Seb was actually continuing JA where he left off and none of us were happy about it. We didn't want him to make it after what he done to it. But weeks passed and Daniel started to hate Joey, Joey would make announcements on his new movies and saying "vote 5" on my private server, Daniel is a not Newgrounds user and actually hated the site before because of the community. Daniel would get into contact with Seb and he would help him and give feedback on the game. Me? I was dragged into it by Daniel. Time passed and, Daniel stopped giving feedback and started to dislike Seb, there was no progress made on JA Ultimate, it was a complete mess. We would leave Seb and eventually I finally canceled JA Ultimate for one final time. I tried to convince to just stop because I didn't want him to continue, and he wasn't allowed to use our characters, not because of copyright, but because of how fucking weird was that their characters were being written by a guy they hate. He didn't listen.

One day, in March this year, I was bored at school. I imagined a April Fools game called "Jonathan's Adventure! 2", the stuff I had in mind was pretty funny, so when I came back to my story I pitched it to Joey and he accepted it, and here we are now.

Personally I would added more into what I wanted to say to Seb. Maybe I kinda went too hard on him. But still I don't think he's gonna ever chance, nor I will think his version of it will good and will be just a bad representation and impetration of characters of people that don't like him. It's hard to write for characters based on real life, sure, but even I ignored their original counterparts and look at the characters exclusively to his vision, it's still shit. We again ditched Daniel but it's permanently, with the many times I've done that I probably look like a dick but it's complicated, he is just completely unstable, not even 3 different therapists could help him. That was the history of JA. A sad one, but with this April Fools it will present how bad it was, how messed Seb is, and overall.. How so things are best left to the past. Not everything needs to be continued. We can't do anything to stop Seb now but I rather laugh than struggle to talk to a brick wall.

P.S: If you have any more questions just PM the people who made this. We all have answers.

Edit: Thanks a lot! I loved working on this game, and I hope this doesn't happen again on any future projects.

Ok, what is going on... this is about the third game in here that I can't play! After starting the game and going through the portal, the game screen is completely dark! I walk around aimlessly, I get hurt and see some flashes, and I die. Is this because I'm playing on Chrome or something??

Edit: Ok, I restarted the computer (I said game before, my bad), it's working, and it looks phenomenal, with all the static effects and such! And it plays really well too!

Weird... I had finally managed to beat the demo, and I didn't get the message...

LeviRamirez responds:

sorry about your original hiccup, glad you liked it! :)

Hmm, the game doesn't open, it says my computer doesn't support WebGL, even though i think it does...

3p0ch responds:

Sometimes that happens to me with other games and rebooting the computer fixes it

This game is very cool... but for some reason, I just can't find the rhythm for when we fall from the plane. In the other segments, I can get into a groove, but that part always throws me off. Any tips?

Edit: Drums, huh? Hmm, maybe that's what I missed... I didn't notice them when I played, so maybe I should be on the lookout (listenout?) for those.

jefvel responds:

Thanks! I have some trouble there too, I've noticed it might not be completely in sync there. It goes with the groove of the kick drum in that part. You almost have to follow the drums with a bit of a drag to get it right. I'll see if I can get it tighter in an update

Very good!

Stopsignal responds:

Thanks, Antonio!!!! <3

Great puzzle game with quite the intriguing story... though there's a point when, if I use the play button on screen instead of the spacebar, it kinds bugs itself out, and prevents me from removing wires or operators, while it still allows me to place them. A quick level switch back and forth fixes the issue, bit it can be a bit annoying for some.

crow-seeds responds:

Just fixed it!

Very cool! I have yet to get used to the sensitivity of the mouse and Git Gud, but this is really fun.

Edit: Ok, now that I finished the game on "Hey, not too rough", as I never played Doom before, let me tell ya this: the game is a freaking masterpiece. From the levels, which are easy to navigate, to the enemies, fantastic sprites, to the music, bombastic at the start, sorrowful at the end, the secrets, never too obvious but still hinted at, the Cyberdemon fight was also really cool... If I didn't know, I'd say this was an official Doom title! Despite only having 6 levels, the game feels full and worthy of the title. Fantastic job!

Edit: the one new thing that comes to mind might be the low count of songs, but I don't know how are the limitations of PICO-8 and the amount of space you've had left after programming the engine and maps and such. The placement of the songs is great though, but I still think hearing "At Doom's Gate" for 3 consecutive levels might be a bit too much.

One thing, though. I didn't get the respective medal for beating the game... Only a secret medal, the cartographer. What did I even do to get that one?

Answer: I do? Funny, I can't see them... Are you sure about that? Anyway, how the heck did I even get the Cartographer Medal? Getting every item? I did find every secret in all levels, so there's that...

Finally did it on "hurt me plenty" mode! And all the secrets, in one go, all demons slayed and only died once to the Cyberdemon.

Double Edit: Ultra Violence. Beaten. No deaths.

freds72 responds:

thanks! Looking at your profile, you do have all the medals, so it seems ok?

Cartographer is finding all secrets!

Awesome game, with some epic, kick-ass music and mechanics, a good variety of enemies and challenges, and an awesome boss that turns your own powers against you! Very well done!

Yword responds:

Thank you very much for playing!

When I saw this game on the front page, I couldn't help but smile. This was a very pleasant surprise, I remember playing the first two games some years ago, and loving it, all of it. The puzzles, the atmosphere, the characters, the music... And, like the previous entries, this one was also an absolute joy to play. I felt absolutely tense when the accident at the Root happened, the music and the characters' reactions did a fantastic job to cause that panic. Keep up with the amazing work!

P.S. that secret area, anything to do with the fourth world we're going to visit?

solarVagrant responds:

You'll have to find out! Don't want to give anything away yet.

Fantastic game! A really good platformer, with its own charm and personality. Pretty tough at the end, especially for those who are trying to get all the nickels (I got enough to pay the pizza guy, and also a 1,00$ tip, is that all of them?), but still good and enjoyable enough to not rage quit. Very well done! Also, I'm looking forward to that pizza guy bonus mode :D

saantonandre responds:

Thanks, glad it wasn't too frustrating!
Yeah 1.00c is the biggest tip, in the future I may add some rewards/different dialogues when you get every coin, but I guarantee nothing about the pizza guy mode x)
